Interspecies information systems

This article introduces a new class of socio-technical systems, interspecies information systems (IIS) by describing several examples these emerging through the use commercially available data-driven animal-centered technology. When technology, such as pet wearables, cow health monitoring, or even wildlife drones captures animal data and inform humans actions to take towards animals, emerge. I discuss importance understanding them rather than isolated technology technology-mediated interactions, propose conceptual model capturing key components flow general system. conclude proposing multiple practical challenges that are faced in successful design, engineering any where informs human actions.
